Everything You Need to Know Before Your First Session
How does the complimentary 15-minute specialist matching call work?
Before booking a full session, our clinical intake coordinator or psychologist conducts a brief 15-minute phone/WhatsApp voice call to understand your primary reason for seeking therapy, schedule preferences, and match you with the Clinical Psychologist whose modality (CBT, EMDR, Schema, or Gottman Couples) best fits your needs.
Are therapy sessions recorded or shared with official health registries (e-Nabız)?
Never. As a private psychotherapy institute, none of your sessions, notes, or personal details are entered into state registries (such as e-Nabız) or shared with third parties. All records are protected under strict TPD Ethical Guidelines and GDPR/KVKK confidentiality.
How long does a standard session last, and how frequently do we meet?
Individual, EMDR, and Schema therapy sessions last a full 50 minutes; Gottman Couples therapy sessions last 60 minutes. Initially, weekly sessions are recommended to build therapeutic momentum and emotional safety.
Is online therapy via Zoom as effective as in-person therapy in Moda?
Clinical research confirms that structured online psychotherapy (CBT, Schema Therapy, and adapted bilateral EMDR) achieves outcomes equivalent to in-person sessions. Many of our clients across Europe, the UK, and outside Istanbul attend via encrypted Zoom.
What is your session cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Because a 50-minute slot is reserved exclusively for you, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellation or rescheduling requests, excluding documented medical emergencies.
